Past projects have included the composite steering system for Nigel Irens powered Round the World trimaran 'Trans Oceanic Adventurer', the mast with Shirley Robertson historically won Olympic Gold in her single handed 'Europe' dingy in Sydney
2000, and all the foils (rudders etc.) for Ellen MacArthur's record breaking trimaran 'B&Q'

Complex load monitoring systems have been put together, incorporating the tropical LDI interface unit, for America's Cup Yacht 'Mascalzone Latino', and the 'Groupama 3' trimaran

Recently a high strength emergency rudder tiller tube and connection tube was produced for 'Bahrain Team Pindar' the IMOCA 60 is helmed by Island born Brian Thomson for the 2008 Vendee Globe Globe challenge.

The left image is a three metre carbon radar post recently
supplied for a Mills 43 yacht bulit by Vision Yachts at Cowes.
The fabricated carbon swivel bracket, gas spring control system,
supplied and fitted by Tropical, +/- 30° 'tacking' action of the
radar dome.
